... and I suppose I'd better make this a worth-while post, right? Well, I'm not 100% sure how to achieve that, but I'll give it some serious thought whilst I type. So what's been happening in the two weeks I've been MIA?
Well, I've been busy, busy, busy! About 2 months ago, a good friend of mine asked me to design and make all the wedding invites and favours for her sons wedding. Eeeekkkkkk ... what a daunting task!!! It's one thing to design and makes cards for personal use, but to have the responsibility for creating something for the "BIGGEST DAY IN YOUR LIFE" was just a little scary, let me tell you! None-the-less, 3 weeks ago on a sunny Saturday lunch time, I met up with Jemma-Jo (bride-to-be) and Paula (mother-of-the-groom) and we talked through some ideas about style, size, font choice and colour schemes. We had such a lovely time and by the end of lunch, most of the decisions had been made; all that was left, was for me to mock up a couple of demo invites and favours.
I've started work on the invites. They're really simple and elegant, a classic choice of font, printed onto ivory hammer embossed effect card, matted onto chocolate brown cardstock, which in turn is matted onto more of the ivory card, a simple butterfly motif with ivory pearl body completes the effect. Here's a teeny, tiny peak ...

On a scrapping front, there are some amazing kits out there in digiland right now, here are just a couple of my current favourites:
Secret Notes from Joyce Paul Designs (available at mscraps)
Circles Of Life from Ninascraps Designs (available at oscraps)
So whilst I've been typing this post I've figured that I should offer you a quick FREEBIE ... does that sound OK to you? I'm continuing to experiment with designing digital papers and elements, and this time I thought I'd try my hand at creating some wordart (WA) ... oh boy, it's tougher than it looks! I'm not sure how I feel about this kit, but I'm gonna put it out here and hope you guys will provide me with some honest feedback ... seriously, I want / need to know what you like / dislike about it, OK?
Chit Chat #1 is a selection of WA based around our love of text talk .. you know, LOL and KWIM!
Remember, honest feedback please. I'm a big girl, I can take constructive criticism without getting upset!
Right, that's all from me for now. I'll be back again later in the week, but in the mean time, you can always find me on Twitter(!) ... I know ... who'd have thought it ... me a Twitter convert. LOL!

I am already married, but if I weren't I'd ask you to make my cards. The little peek looks so beautiful, I am sure the bride will be happy.
Concerning the kit: well, you are a big girl, but please sit down, I am not sure if you can stand my feedback. *lol* It is really nice and I am looking forward to seeing more creations on your blog. Seems you are talented.
Thanks for sharing it with us.
Hugs
Corinna
