Grand opening sale and blog hopping ...

... are just some of the goodies you can expect at the launch of Che Yang Designs' store at EHStudios!!!

I know Che & Elisa have both been working so hard to get the new store up and running, and having seen the kits that have been designed so far, I think you're gonna love it!!! Congrats girls ... I'm raising a glass of fizz (well cup of tea actually!) to you on your special day. Hip, hip, hooray!!!

Now it's not a real party without gifts, right? Here's just some idea of what's on the gift list:

30% off the entire store!
scrapping challenges
freebie QP's
blog hop

Woo-hoo ... so lets get this party started! Are you ready to hop?

Welcome ... I'm stop #8 on this fabulous blog hop. First things first, my colour for you is salmon. Don't forget to collect all 10 colours [in order] from each of the blogs on the hop, and once you've got them all, send an email to Che (cheyangdesigns@gmail.com) to be entered into the draw to win a $20 gift coupon to the store.

As a "thank you" for hopping to my blog, I've created this a sweet little QP ... it features My Wish For You a charming collab kit from Elisa Hubbard & Che Yang Designs.

Your next stop in the blog hop is at Tina's place here ... but if you've missed any stops along the way, you can always hop back to the start at Elisa's blog. Please keep in mind that we're in different timezones , so if a post on the hop isn't published yet, don't panic ... just pop back a little later, but do pop back ... you really won't want to miss out on any of the freebies or your chance to win a $20 gift coupon to the store!

Happy hopping everyone!

And the gift giving goes on ...

... I don’t know about you, but I love to receive gifts, even more so when they’re unexpected or without reason … you know, the kind of “just because” gifts. Well, although the Oscraps birthday bash may be over, the gift giving continues.

I've been incredibly lucky throughout March and I've been the recipient of a number of gifts … digital kits through blog RAK’s and gift coupons from online chats and challenges, to name but a few. Now I want to share my luck with you, my lovely blog readers!

Sue Cummings has generously donated 5, yes five(!), gift coupons to her store at Oscraps. Now if you’re not familiar with Sue’s work, just take a peek at her store and gallery! It's wonderful! Her kits have a hint of breezy days, easy-living and have a timeless quality to them and you’re sure to find something you love.

So, want to know what you've got to do to win? It's simple … just leave a comment here on my blog, telling me about either the best or worst present you've ever received!!! Fun, eh?

The lucky winners will be selected (by my good friend Mr Random.org) and each will receive a $5 gift coupon to Sue’s store!!! Closing time / date for comments is 10pm (BST) on Thursday 1st April 2010.

I can’t wait to hear about all your gifts (good or bad!) … good luck everyone!!!

Too long between posts ...

... Wow, time really does fly! Nothing specific has kept me away ... life has been ticking over quite nicely, thanks for asking.

At long last, spring has sprung ... the sun shone everyday last week and I've been able to venture outside without my coat, scarf & gloves. So far, it's been a fabulous start to spring and to mark the new season, I've changed the decorations in the room where I do all my creating. The Valentine hearts are down and have been replaced by this cute little Easter ensemble ...

Close up on the sign ...

Although the photos don't show it particularly well, there are two wire garlands that hang from hooks [in my ceiling], they're covered in beads, butterflies and flowers and the pink and green daisies are clipped to them. The "Easter" sign is attached to another hook using "invisible" thread.

The start of spring has finally prompted me to get my Paislee Press DIY 2010 Calendar kit project finished. Yes I know I'm late, VERY late ... but at least I've done it now and oh boy, I'm so happy with the results.

I started this project back in January, but kept getting distracted so it went on the back burner. The biggest delay for me was choosing the 12 photos I wanted to have on display throughout the whole year. I started out looking for photos that represented each month (i.e. love for February, Halloween for October, Christmas for December etc) but this was too restrictive for my liking, so I ended up just picking 12 of my favourite photos. They're not necessarily the best quality photos (for example October's photo is fuzzy), but they're all photos that make me smile when I look at them. Perfect!

On the scrapping front, there are some fabulous challenges taking place at the "O" this month. Helen's hosting the camera corner challenge, Ona's hosting the creative techniques challenge, Marie's hosting the web inspiration challenge, Linda's hosting the colour challenge and lets not forget the weekly designer spotlight challenges ... talking of which, here's a page I did for last weeks challenge:

Some sad news now, Leiko Beck has announced that she's taking an indefinite hiatus from designing. I totally understand and respect her decision and I know it's not been an easy one, her designs will be sorely missed at Oscraps and throughout the digiscrap community as a whole.

Let's end of a cheerier note ... to celebrate(?) Leiko's decision, she's having a fabulous closing down sale and all items* are discounted by 40%!!! So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and grab as many Leiko Beck goodies as you can!!! (* excluding Limited Professional Use License and any Collaborative projects). Here's a couple of LO's exclusively using Leiko's products to give you some inspiration ...

Sorry this has been such a long post ... but that's what I get for not posting in a week & a half! That's all folks ... hope you have a great week.
